ARRT has significant in-house CAD and structural design capabilities. This allows the company to develop conceptual designs of track and its components for its clients. ARRT also conducts in-house research and development leading to new product designs.

Over the years, ARRT has been involved in the design of premium fastening systems for railway track. The result is a new line of patented track fasteners that include:

• tie plates for wood ties,
• joint plates,
• a system for guardrails,
• concrete tie fasteners,
• high relief joint bars and
• longer lasting insulated joints.

NorFast Inc. markets and manufactures all fasteners designed by ARRT Inc.

Other activities include structural analysis of bridge systems, and clearance issue in tunnels.
